Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - June 21, 1990
James "Bill" Pitts, 67, of the 1200 block of Pelham St., died June 18, 1990, in 
a hospital. 
Mr. Pitts, a native of Durham, N.C., had been a farm worker for 20 years. He 
was a Baptist. 
Survivors include three daughters, Ethelene Tucker of Los Angeles, Deborah 
Tucker of Connecticut and Marion Tucker of Norfolk; two sisters, Laura Warren 
and Pearl Powell, both of Chesapeake; and a grandchild. 
The graveside service will be conducted at noon Friday in Magnolia Cemetery by 
the Rev. I. Joseph Williams. Friends may join the family at 2133 Christian 
Ave., Chesapeake. Chatman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
