Virginian-Pilot  June 7, 1923
Mrs. Annie Oakes Plateau - Funeral services of Mrs. Plateau, were held yesterday 
morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 o’clock, Rev. M. Hartigan, 
officiating. Monsignor J. T. O’Farrell, Rev. R. E. Hannah and Rev. P. P. Brennan 
were present in the sanctuary. Several selections were given by the choir of St. 
Mary’s Female Academy during the services. There were many floral offerings. 
Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Pallbearers were: John Mariner, William Walsh, Thomas King, Gordon Shaffer, John 
O’Keefe and William O’Keefe.
