Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, April 9, 1990 
Lucille Haynes Platt, 85, of the 1000 block of Clements Ave., died April 7,
1990, in her home.

Mrs. Platt, a native of Princess Anne County, was the widow of John H. Platt.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.

Survivors include a daughter, Vivian L. Smith of Norfolk; a son, John D. Platt
of Norfolk; two sisters, Lenora Whitehurst and Margaret Boone, both of Virginia
Beach; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Union Baptist Church by the
Rev. S.L. Scott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . E.A. Hughes Funeral Home
is handling arrangements.
