Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, July 17, 1998 
Joyce A. Platt, 50, formerly of the 3300 block of Killam Ave., died July 13, 1998.

Born in Norfolk, she was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class
of 1965, and had retired from Lafayette Villa Health Care. She was a member of
First Calvary Baptist Church and its Female Usher Board No. 3.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories three sisters, Frances Felton, Ruby
Oluloro and Jacqueline Ingram, all of Norfolk; two brothers, Joseph Irving of
Washington, D.C., and Jimmy Vaughan of Oxon Hill, Md.; and a host of relatives
and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Calvary Baptist Church
by the Rev. Calvin James. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join
the family at 515 W. 26th St. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
