Norfolk - Funeral services for Robert Platt, Jr., who died Oct. 22 at his 
residence, 2717 Roberts Park, after a brief illness, were conducted at St. 
Thomas AME Zion Church, Thursday, Oct. 26, with the Rev. A. C. Littlejohn 
officiating.

Other ministers taking part in the services were the the Rev. M. L. Beamon and 
Rev. A. J. Stringfield.

Solos were rendered by Mrs. Eliza Everett, Mrs. Eliza Bullock, and Mrs. Mary 
Johnson. Condolences were read by Mrs. Bullock and Mrs. Stringfield.

The survivors include the widow, Mrs. Mary Platt; six sons, one daughter; 
parents, the Rev. and Mrs. R. H. Platt Sr., of Suffolk VA; one brother, John 
Platt, of Norfolk.

Interment was in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery. Morning Glory Funeral Home 
was in charge of burial arrangements.
