Virginian-Pilot April 11, 1899
Mr. John Platto died at his residence, No. 131 Princess Anne avenue, Sunday 
morning at 6 o’clock in the 72d year of his age. The obsequies were held from the 
residence at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. Father 
Joseph Frioli, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The interment was in Elmwood 
Cemetery. The pallbearers were from the Italian Beneficial Society. 

Additional Comments:
He was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, not Elmwood.
