Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, July 19, 1998 
Isaiah Joseph Plummer Sr., 68, of Hampton Blvd., died July 16, 1998, at Harbour
Pointe Rehabilitation Center, died July 16, 1998.

He was born in Norfolk and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Virgie Ann Plummer; three daughters, Selena Freeman,
Marjorie Thomas and Andrea Diggs, all of Norfolk; a son, Isaiah Plummer Jr. of
Norfolk; two sisters, Mildred Whitehurst of Norfolk and Marjorie Spivey of New
York; a brother, Melchizedek Plummer of Norfolk; four granddaughters; seven
grandsons; two sons-in-law, the Rev. William Freeman and William Thomas; a
daughter-in-law, Lanetta Plummer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Zion Baptist Church, 1608
Liberty Road, Chesapeake, by Dr. Rayphield Clay with a eulogy by the Rev.
William Freeman. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk. Family and
friends will assemble at 2830 St. Mihiel Ave., Norfolk, at noon Tuesday for the
procession. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Southside Chapel, Berkley Ave., is in
charge.
