Mr. Pogolowitz, a native of New York City, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a former officer and current member of the board of directors of Congregation B'Nai Israel; a past president of Brith Sholom Center, a member of C.R.C.; and a volunteer for Jewish Family Services. Survivors include four sons, Joel and his wife, Ann, of Fair Lawn, NJ, Elliot and his wife, Rosalyn, of Norfolk, Jeffrey and his wife, Nancy, of Portland, OR, Richard and his wife, Linda, of Philadelphia; a sister, Anna Jaffe of New York City; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. A chapel service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts, Norfolk Chapel, by Rabbi Friedman. Interment will be in B'Nai Israel Cemetery. The family will be at their residence.
