The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday August 11, 1939
Mrs. Eliza Otey Pollard, aged 76, widow of George M. Pollard and daughter of 
Thomas and Mrs. Virginia Knox Pannill, a native of Petersburg, and a 
resident of Norfolk for many years, died yesterday afternoon at 12:55 
o'clock at her residence, No. 1 Brentwood Apartments, 1215 Colley avenue.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Este; a granddaughter, Miss 
Margaret Virginia Pollard, of Norfolk; two brothers, A. Plummer Pannill, of 
Norfolk, and Charles J. Pannill, of New York, and one sister, Mrs. James H. 
Johnson of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held at the residence Saturday afternoon at 2:30 
o'clock with the Rev. W. Taylor Willis, rector of Christ and St. Luke's 
Church, officiating. Interment will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
