Virginian-Pilot  May 25, 1942
George Toshick Pollock, aged 72, husband of Mrs. Julia Marois Pollock, and son of 
the late James and Mrs. Isabelle Toshick Pollock, died at the residence, 730 West 
Thirty-sixth street, yesterday morning at 2 o’clock. He was a native of Ontario, 
Canada and a resident of Norfolk for the past 40 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Orland Pollock, Sr., and Raymond 
and Herbert Pollock, all of Norfolk, one daughter, Mrs. Hlen Brownlee, of Norfolk; 
six grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Haines, Mrs. R. Troy, Mrs. Wesley 
Kirker and Mrs. William Lindsey, all of Canada, and three brothers, Thomas, Roy 
and Edward Pollock, all of Canada.
The body will be taken from the residence to the chapel of the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, for funeral services tomorrow morning at 
10 o’clock.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held 
at the residence tonight at 8:30 o’clock.
