Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark November 22, 1912

Charles Ellsworth Barrett, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Pond, died at the 
home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Barrett, 514 Clay Avenue, 
Brambleton, aged three months and twenty-four days. The funeral will be held at 
the residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. J.T. 
Anderson, of the Park Avenue Baptist Church. The interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.

POND - Entered into rest Thursday, November 21, 1912, at 6:15 a.m., CHARLES 
ELLSWORTH POND, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Pond, aged 2 months and 24 days.  
Funeral will take place from residence of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.W. 
Barrett, 514 Clay Avenue, FRIDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. Friends invited to 
attend.

The funeral of Charles Ellsworth Pond, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Pond. 
was held at the residence of his parents, 514 Clay Avenue, at 3 p.m. yesterday. 
The service was conducted by Rev. J. Truman Anderson, of the Park Avenue Baptist 
Church, during which Mrs. E.F. Pullen sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." The 
floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. The interment was in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
