The Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 21, 1947 
Mrs. Beulah Mitchell Pool, widow of Theophilus Charles Pool, died at the 
residence of her daughter, Mrs. C.M. Surles, 2001 Orange Street, Estabrook, 
yesterday at 1:30 a.m.
Besides her daughter she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. F. Wallace and Mrs. 
Martha Barnes of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Catherine B, Cynthia Ann, John 
and William G. Pool, of Raleigh; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pool was 
a life-long resident of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Saturday 
at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
