Norfolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Laura G. Poole, 80, of 1525 W. 46th street 
was held Tuesday in First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point.  The Rev. O. B. Burson 
delivered the eulogy.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral 
Home in charge.  She died May 15 in a hospital.

A native of Surry county, she was a daughter of Eldridge Haskett and Mrs. 
Malisha Spratley Haskett and the widow of Andrew A. Poole.  Mrs. Poole was a 
member of the Widows Club, Missionary Circle, Pastor’s Aid Club and the 
deaconess board of First Baptist Church and Eastern Star Excelsior lodge.

Her survivors include two sons, Andrew Poole of New York and Everette Poole of 
Richmond;  two daughters, Mrs. Harriet Jordan and Mrs. Frissell Craft of 
Norfolk;  two sisters, Mrs. Evan Whitfield of Mt. Vernon, NY and Miss India 
Haskett of Norfolk;  four grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
