VIRGINIA BEACH — Gertrude Grace Poor, 56, a native of Pittsburgh, died Friday in 
her home at 5164 Langston Road.
She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and its adult choir.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse Poor; a daughter, Margaret Ann Poor of 
Virginia Beach; a son, Jesse Poor Jr. of Hampton; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Cherry 
of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Norman A. Orgal of Virginia Beach.
A Mass of the resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew’s 
Catholic Church by the Rev. James Guttendorf. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Catholic Cemetery.
A Christian wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian 
River Chapel, where the family will receive friends until 9 p.m.
