A funeral service was held at Grace Episcopal Church on Sunday for William D. 
Pope, 79, of 2701 Myrtle avenue.

The Rev. Richard B. Martin, Grace rector, officiated.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery under direction of Hale Funeral Home.

Mr. Pope died Nov. 27 in a Richmond hospital.  A native of Tarboro,NC, he was a 
Norfolk resident more than 50 years.  His affiliations included Eureka Lodge, 
Excelsior Band, and James P. Carter Masonic lodge.
