The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Monday August 4, 1952
Thomas Ray Porter, 60, husband of Lucille Smith Foster and son of the late 
Rev. Moses P. and Margaret Culter Porter, died at a Norfolk hospital 
yesterday at 8:30 a.m.
Besides his wife he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. E.G. Phillips, Mrs. 
Hattie Bliven and Mrs. Ida Williamson, all of Norfolk; and Mrs. Minnie 
Martin, of Ripley, Ohio; two brothers, Ralph Porter, of Norfolk and Paul 
Porter, of Avon.
Mr. Porter was a native of Ripley, Ohio, and had been a resident of Norfolk 
for 50 years.  He was a veteran of World War I.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 4 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
