Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Porter of 535 28th street, who died September 
28, after a lingering illness were held October 3, at the House of Prayer with 
Elder David Washington officiating. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. 
Ollie Harris, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. 
Martha Freeman and Mrs. Cordelia Jones of Baltimore; one niece, Mrs. Rachel 
Glover, two great nephews, one brother-in-law, Irving Robinson of Norfolk, and 
several cousins. Interment was made in Calvary Cemetery with Cooke Brothers 
Funeral Home in charge
