Frederic Vernor Porter, of 1431 Republic avenue, who died June 15 at his home 
was given final rites Tuesday at Providence Christian Church.  The Rev. R. R. 
Briggs officiated.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Citizens Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Porter was a native of Norfolk, formerly worked at the Norfolk Naval Air 
Station and was former manager and co-owner of Sixth Street Cut-Rate Drug Co.

He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II, former manager of Eureka 
Lodge;  and a member of Providence Christian Church.

Mr. Porter is survived by a brother, Madison E. Porter, and a sister, Mrs. Annie 
M. Freeman, both of Norfolk.
