The Virginian Pilot Friday July 13, 1962
PHILADELPHIA -  Mrs. Martha Almeda Portlock, 93, formerly of Norfolk, died 
Thursday at 10:40 a.m. in her home in Oak Lane.
A native of Princess Anne County, she spent most of her life in Norfolk.  She 
was a daughter of John and Mrs. Martha Ward.
She was a lifelong member of Norfolk's Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, now 
Third Presbyterian Church and attended Nansemond Seminary in Suffolk.
She is survived by two sons, Cecil Farant Portlock of Philadelphia and R. Leo 
Portlock of Bayside, Va. and four grandchildren.
The body is being sent to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments in Norfolk for a 
funeral service Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. S.K. Emurian, retired pastor of 
Park Avenue Presbyterian Church.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
