The Virginian-Pilot, Tuesday, January 30, 1990

NORFOLK - Jordan E. Portlock III, of the 6800 block of Palem Road, a retired 
packer, died January 27, 1990, in a hospital.

Mr. Portlock, a Norfolk native, had retired from New-Bell Storage Corp. After 30 
years. He was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and Huntersville Senior 
Citizens.

Survivors include his wife, May Portlock, and a sister, Ruth Phelps of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Calvary Baptist Church 
by the Rev. Johnnie White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be 
placed in the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. Family and friends will assemble at 
the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
