Portlock, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock. She was the daughter of the late Capt. John W. and Mrs. Lucy Minter Thomas and a native of Mathews County but a resident of Norfolk for the past 10 years, living at 2810 Kimball Terrace. Mrs. Portlock was a member of McKendree Methodist Church, Daughters of American Revolution and Virginia Lodge No. 13, Daughters of Rebekah. She is survived by two sons, H.V. Riddick, Brooklyn, N.Y.; H.A. Riddick, St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, William E. Thomas, Norfolk and two sisters, Mrs. Irene T. Perry and Mrs. Leolin J. Jarvis, of Norfolk. The body was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 631 Westover Avenue, where funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
