Mrs. Ada Portlock - Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Portlock, who died on August 4 
at her home on Martin street after an illness of 10 days, were held August 8 at 
First Baptist Church, with the Rev. R. L. Harris officiating, assisted by the Rev. 
A. Holmes. Mrs. Louise Ferebee, Mrs. Geraldine Gholston, and Mrs. Blanch Bonds, 
sang and Miss Rosa Wynn and Mrs. Julia McMillan read condolences. Interment was 
made in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
