Norfolk-Virginian, September 6, 1896
The Angel of Death visited the family of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Potter, at their 
residence, No. 704 Tunstall Avenue yesterday morning at 7 o'clock, and took 
away their bright little boy, Ira, aged two years and five months, after an 
illness of four months. The funeral will take place today from the above 
residence at 3 p.m., after which the remains will be laid to rest in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
