The Virginian Pilot Tuesday November 15, 1966
Mrs. Lina Twiford Powell, 59, of 1411 Branden Crescent died Sunday night in 
her home.
A native of East Lake, N.C., she lived here 40 years.  She was the wife of 
Harvey C. Powell and a daughter of the late John W. and Mrs. Melissa Everton 
Twiford.
She was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church and Women of the Moose 
Lodge 966.
She was retired recreation leader for the City of Norfolk.
Besides her husband, surviving are a son, Louis DeVincenzi of Chesapeake; 
four sisters, Mrs. George Wales of Norfolk, Mrs. Floyd Doshier of Virginia 
Beach, Mrs. Roy White, and Mrs. Marshall Brown of Chesapeake; three 
brothers, Heckstall Twiford, Willard Twiford, and Marvin Twiford of Norfolk; 
four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Graham Funeral Home Wednesday at 3 
p.m. by the Rev. Linwood Peterson of Virginia Heights Baptist Church and the 
Rev. Paul B. Logan Jr. of Camellia Baptist Church.  Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
