Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - July 24, 1990

Mary E. Powell, of the 700 block of Oak Grove Road, died July 19, 1990, in a 
nursing home.
Mrs. Powell, a native of Greenville, N.C., was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Powell; and two sisters, Clora Brown 
and Dora Brown, both of Williamston, N.C.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Metropolitan Funeral 
Home, Norfolk, by the Rev. Rufus Jackson. Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 10:30 a.m. in the 
funeral home for the procession.
