Norfolk - Funeral services were held for Mrs. Annie L. Powell,69, of 1226 
Oakfield street Sunday in Mt. Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. R. T. Adams.  
Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Fitchett Funeral Home in charge.  She died 
March 18 in her home.  

A native of Bells Mill, she was a daughter of Hatie and Mrs. Emma Liza Williams 
and the wife of William C. Powell.  Mrs. Powell was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist 
Church.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Joseph Powell, and a daughter, Mrs. 
Annie Marian, both of Norfolk;  two sisters, Mrs. Adell McCoy of Norfolk and 
Mrs. Sarah Walker of New York.
