Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 28, 1918 
POWELL, MARY E - At the residence, No. 430 W. 29th St., Sunday, Oct. 27, 1918, 
at 9 o'clock a.m. MARY E., widow of E.T. Powell, in the 85th year of her age.
Funeral services (private) at the grave, Elmwood cemetery, MONDAY AFTERNOON at 4 
o'clock.

In her 84th year, Mrs. Mary E. Powell died at her residence, 430 West Twenty-
ninth street, yesterday morning at 9 o'clock.  She was a native of Virginia and 
has been a resident of Norfolk for 50 years.  She was the widow of the late E.T. 
Powell,  Several nieces and nephews survive her.
Funeral services will be held at the grave in Elmwood cemetery this afternoon at 
4 o'clock.  Rev. C.M. Watson and Rev. William P. Jordan will conduct the 
services.
