The Norfolk Virginian, November 26, 1895


The funeral services of Mrs. Martha Powell, relict of the late Mathew Powell, 
who died at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. J.B. Farrant, Jr., in the 
county, was held at Denby’s M.E. Church Sunday morning at 10 o’clock, and was 
conducted by Rev. J.D. Hanck. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, this city.
