Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 20, 1950

Mrs. Dora Griffith Powell, 92, widow of Robert T. Powell and daughter of the late 
William and Mrs. Fannie Simpson Griffith, a native and former resident of Norfolk, 
died Friday at 3 p.m. at Miami, Fla., where she had made her home for five years.
Surviving are one son, Robert Turner Powell, of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. 
Charles H. Raitt, of Washington and Mrs. A.H. Fudge, of Miami; one sister, Mrs. 
Elizabeth G. James, of Norfolk and six grandchildren.
Services will be held in Norfolk at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery tomorrow at 1 
p.m.
