Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark May 21, 1917

Cora V. Powers died in a local hospital at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon.  She 
was in the 13th year of her age, a native of Norfolk and well known here.  She 
is survived by one brother, John Powers, of Princess Anne County.  The funeral 
will take place at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon in H.D. Oliver's Funeral 
Apartments, Freemason Street.  Services will be conducted by Rev. R.B. 
Grinnan, pastor of Colley Avenue Presbyterian Church.  Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
