Norfolk Journal and Guide, Saturday, Mar. 2, 1957, pg. A12
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Powers, Princess Anne County, VA, were held
Sunday, Feb. 17, at Pretlow’s Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. B. Westbrook
officiating.

She is survived by her husband, George Powers;  two daughters, Mrs. Mamie
Brickers, Norfolk, and Mrs. Ellen Powers, Richmond;  four granddaughters, Mrs.
Winfred B Jones of Norfolk;  Misses Ellen Powers, Debro Powers and Linda Powers
of Richmond;  four grandsons, Messrs. Ralph B. Brickers and Thomas T. Brickers
of Norfolk;  Alexander, Jr., and Tyrone Powers of Richmond;  ten great
grandchildren and other relatives.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
