The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Wednesday May 18, 1927
Charles Powers, aged 68, died at his residence, 1806 Goode avenue last night 
at 11:05 o'clock after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Adelia Bonney Powers; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Lowery, of New York; a 
brother, Moses Powers, of Norfolk County; three grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren. Mr. Powers was a member of Washington Lodge of Odd Fellows.
Remains were taken to the Hollomon-Brown funeral home, 1801 Granby street, 
pending funeral arrangements.



Mr. Charles Powers --Funeral services for Mr. Powers will be conducted at 
the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 1801 Granby street, tomorrow afternoon at 
3:30 o'clock, by the Rev. A.P. Williams, pastor of McKendree Methodist 
Chruch. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
