Virginian-Pilot November 21, 1972
NORFOLK - Daniel Thomas Powers, 40, of 825 Harrington Ave., died in a hospital 
Sunday.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was an Army veteran of Korea.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He was a son of Mrs. Margaret O’Neall Powers and the late Nicholas Joseph 
Powers.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons, Joseph Ray Powers and Stephen 
Wayne Powers of San Diego, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Callie Miller of 
Norfolk and Mrs. Patricia Santos of San Diego.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, where the rosary 
will be said tonight at 7:30.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Wednesday at 
10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The family will be at 5227 Texas Ave.
