The Virginian Pilot Friday October 28, 1960
Miss Isabelle Elizabeth Poyner, 85, of 2204 Bainbridge Blvd. died Thursday at 
2:30 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. 
She was a native of Currituck, N.C., and lived in South Norfolk 70 years. Her 
parents were Thomas H. and Mrs. Elizabeth Hampton Poyner. She was a member of 
Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three nieces, Mrs. Herbert D. Curtis, Mrs. C.L. Williams Jr. and 
Miss Pearl Poyner, and two nephews, Cecil H. Poyner and B. Thomas Poyner, all 
of South Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home Saturday at 
2 p.m. with burial in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk.
