Virginian-Pilot September 16, 1958
NORFOLK — William John Prestridge, two-year-old son of Alfred B. and Mrs. Mary 
Ellen Gregg Prestridge, of 6304 Ball Ave., died Monday at 3:25 a.m. at the U.S. 
Naval Hospital, Portsmouth.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Alfred B. Prestridge Jr. and 
Robert J. Prestridge, and one sister, Mary Jo Prestridge, all of Norfolk, and his 
maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Gregg of Larchmont, N.Y.
Services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 10 a.m. 
by the Rev. Michael Giblin, pastor of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will be 
in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
