The Virginian Pilot Monday April 29, 1957
James Bailey Pretlow, 34, 2823 Somme Ave., Fairmount Park, died at his home 
yesterday at 6:30 p.m. after an illness of five years.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. He was the son of Mrs. 
Elisha Tatem Pretlow, and the late Samuel Bailey Pretlow.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two aunts, Mrs. Louisa C. Tatem of 
Norfolk and Mrs. W.J.M. Holland of Franklin.
He was a member of the Lafayette Presbyterian Church.
The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, where funeral arrangements 
are pending.

Funeral services for James Bailey Pretlow of 2823 Somme Ave., who died 
Sunday, will be conducted in the Sykes Funeral Home today at 3:30 p.m. 
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
