Norfolk - John Henry Pretlow, 50, of 878 Asbury avenue died recently at his 
residence after a short illness.

He was the son of Mrs. Virginia Shivers of New York and was a native of 
Norfolk. He was employed for more than 23 years at Norfolk Supply Center.

He was a member of Campbell Masonic Lodge 67 and the Depriest Social club 
and a cub scout master.

He was a member of First Baptist Church on Bute street.

Surviving besides his mother are his wife, Mrs. Emily Pretlow; two sons, 
Gregory Pretlow of Norfolk and John Henry Shivers of New York City, and one 
sister, Mrs. Margaret Scott of New York City.

The Rev. E. Paul Simms is pastor.

Per death certificate,burial is in Calvary Cemetery
