BROOKLYN, N.Y. - James R. Price died Feb. 13, 1993, in a New York hospital.

Mr. Price was born in Norfolk, where he was a member of First Baptist Church
Lamberts Point. He was also a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Long
Island, N.Y. He was the widower of Ella Price and was the son of the late John
William Price and Lena Shambry Price.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy V. Ingram of Hampton; one son, William
L. Price of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Pearl Black and Lucille Timmons; one
brother, Frank Tunison; four grandchildren, Avery Vaughn, Sharon Ingram, Bennie
Ingram Jr. and Lisa N. Price; one great-granddaughter, Amber Vaughn; and one
godson, Elmer Ramsey of Brooklyn.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Calvary Cemetery ,
Norfolk, by Dr. J.L. White Sr. Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk, is handling
arrangements.
