NORFOLK - Patricia Ann Lawler Price, 85, of the 6800 block of Gardner Drive, died 
May 23, 2008. Mrs. Price was born in Bronx, N.Y., and raised in Norfolk. She was 
the daughter of the late Thomas Patrick Lawler and Nellie Rosanno Lawler.
Mrs. Price attended St. Mary’s School in Norfolk and St. Joseph’s College in 
Emmitsburg, Md. She worked at the Naval Station Norfolk, from World War II until 
1954. In October of 1954, she married James Dalton Price. Mrs. Price was a 
dedicated volunteer through the Daughters of Charity at DePaul Hospital and later 
at the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and was a member of the DePaul and 
Norfolk General Ladies Auxiliaries. She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic 
Church since 1963.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Dalton Price. Survivors 
include her son, James D. Price Jr. and his wife Donna of Virginia Beach; 
daughters, Mary Lou Perry and her husband Mark of Charlottesville and Jean Price 
of Norfolk; and three grandchildren, Carl James Price, Dale Lawler Price and Ruth 
Ann Perry. Mrs. Price is also survived by her special children, Larry and Mary Lu 
Glindeman and her soul sister, Sue Stephenson.
A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church in 
Norfolk. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive 
friends at the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday from 7 
until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Food 
Bank of Southeastern Virginia.
