CHESAPEAKE - Elijah Steven Priest, 64, of 315 Earhart St. died Friday at 7 
p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Washington, N.C., he was a son of Hardy J. and Mrs. Molly Langley 
Priest and the husband of Mrs. Margaret Stone Priest.
He was a 27 year employee of Norfolk Naval Air Station.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Cecelia Adkins of 
Chesapeake; five brothers, Edwin Priest, Hardy J. Priest Jr., and David Priest 
of Virginia Beach, Marion Priest of Williamston, N.C, and Ephey Priest of 
Manteo; six sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Koonce of Bath, N.C., Mrs. Rachel 
VanNostrand, Mrs. Marie Dailey, and Mrs. Lillie Everton of Virgina Beach, and 
Mrs. Bertha Cahoon and Mrs. Norvella Pugh of Belhaven, N.C.; his stepmother, 
Mrs. Florence Priest of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Twiford Colonial Chapel, 
Great Bridge. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
