Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Tuesday December 2, 1924
Americus Vespucius Prince, aged 73, died last night at 11 o'clock at his 
residence, 322 Fort street, after a lingering illness.  He is survived by his 
wife, Mrs. Mary Catherine Prince; one daughter, Mrs. Addie V. Havbois, of 
Camden, N.J., two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Funeral 
arrangements had not been completed last night.

Americus V. Prince - Funeral services for Mr. Prince were conducted yesterday 
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at LeKies Memorial Methodist Church by the Rev. E.F. 
Hall and the Rev. F.L. Hardy.  During the services Mrs. M.T. Brehm sang, "God 
Will Take Care."  Pallbearers were: E.D. Knight, A.J. Pruitt, W.M. Derrick, C.H.  
Spragg, J.J. Archer and G.T. Shepperd.  Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
