A native of Berkley, he had been a resident of Berkley and Norfolk all his life. He was a son of Peleg and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Collier Pritchard. Mr. Pritchard had been night manager of the New Virginia Hotel for the past 17 years. Earlier in life, he was associated with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad for 17 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Pritchard's wife, Mrs. Frances Finch Pritchard, died last July. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Howard F. Tyler, of Kempsville, and Mrs. W. Harry Hendren, of Norfolk; a son, Jack Finch Mellens Pritchard, of Norfolk; one granddaughter, Lynne Fay Pritchard, of Norfolk; two grandsons, Don Foster Tyler, of Kempsville, and David Wayne Pritchard, of Norfolk; a brother, J. Raymond Pritchard, of Virginia Beach; two half-sisters, Miss Kate Pritchard, of Norfolk and Mrs. Harry Summerford, of Portsmouth; five nieces and four nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home tomorrow at 2:30 by the Rev. Stuart Grizzard, pastor of the First Baptist Church.
