The funeral services will take place from his late residence Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Pritchard was 58 years of age. He was born in Currituck County, N.C., but moved to Virginia when quite young and has been a resident of Berkley for twenty-five years. He was one of the founders of Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, of which he was a member. He was also a member of Niemeyer-Shaw Camp, Confederate Veterans, and Old Dominion Chapter, Royal Arcanum. Mr. Pritchard enlisted in the Confederate Army, Mahone's Brigade, in 1861, and continued in the service till the Battle of Burgess Mill, where he was seriously wounded. He was diligent in his habits, quiet and unassuming in his manner, a kind husband and loving parent. He leaves a widow and nine children to mourn their loss. **************************************************************************** The funeral of Mr. Peleg Pritchard took place Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from his late residence on Lee Street, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Slaymaker, of the Presbyterian Church, the Baptist Church of which the deceased was a member, not having a pastor at present. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.
