Virginian Pilot July 16, 1966
Mrs. Lottie Elizabeth Proctor, 57, of 525 W. 34th St., widow of Sidney Jennings 
Proctor, Jr. and daughter of John Thomas and Mrs. Nellie Ray Downey, died in a 
hospital Friday at 1 p.m.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church and 
was a supervisor of the banking room of Elizabeth River Tunnel Commission 13 
years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sandra E. Mize of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. 
Horwood R. Whitehead of Virginia Beach; and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 3 p.m. 
by the Rev. Emory L. Byrum of Brentwood Baptist Church.  Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
