Norfolk-Mrs. Eva Maude Proescher, widow of Stonewall Jackson Proescher and 
daughter of the late William I. and Mrs. Ellen Nora Herrick, died in her 
home, 1737 Blair Ave. Friday at 3:30 a.m.

She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Nellie Stewart of Baltimore, and two 
nephews, Arthur Herrick of Suffolk and Lewis Herrick of Sylvan Beach.

Mrs. Proescher, a native of Princess Anne County, lived in this vicinity all 
her life. She was the oldest member of Brentwood Baptist Church and a member 
of Virginia Rebekah Lodge 13, IOOF.

A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 
3 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions 
may be sent to the building fund of Brentwood Baptist Church.
