Pruden, of the 900 block of Anna St., a retired supervisor and owner of bus service, died March 18, 1992, in a hospital. Mr. Pruden was born in Manteo, N.C., and had retired from the Naval Air Station after 38 years. He was the owner of Pruden's Bus Service. He attended St. John A.M.E. Church and was the widower of Sadie T. Pruden. He was a graduate of St. Paul's College and a member of the Hiawatha Social Club. Survivors include two sisters, Edna P. Collins of Clinton, Md., and Hazel Waller of Danville, Va.; and five brothers, Oscar R. Pruden Sr., Paul L. Pruden and Edward D. White, all of Norfolk, Ernest L. Pruden of Indianapolis and George E. Pruden of Laurel, Md. The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in St. John A.M.E. Church by the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
