Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 28, 1990

Vernell J. Pugh, of the 800 block of Charlotte St., a retired laborer, died 
Aug. 27, 1990.
Mr. Pugh, a native of Norfolk, had retired from the Mary Jane Bakery. He was 
the widower of Evelyn W. Pugh and a Baptist.
Survivors include three daughters, Patrice Walker and Denise Hammonds, both 
of Norfolk, and Gloria Harris of Virginia Beach; five sons, Larry Walker, 
Randolph Walker, Julius Walker, Curtis Hammonds and Jerome Pugh, all of 
Norfolk; and 13 grandchildren.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Magnolia Cemetery. 
Friends may join the family at the residence. Margaret L. Reed
