Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 16,1936
Joseph Pugh, 62, of 1251 Factory Street, died at his home on Wednesday, May 6,
and his funeral was held at the Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. O. J.
Allen officiating, Friday, May 8.  He was born in Churchland, but has lived here
for 35 years.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Priscilla Pugh, one brother, W.
J. Pugh of Maine, one son, Joseph Jr. of Chicago and four daughters, Mesdames
Edna Williams, Mamie Williams, Bessie Moran, and Minnie Desmond.  He was buried
in Calvary Cemetery.
