In Memoriam

In loving memory of our daughter Lillian St. Elmo Pugh who departed this life
June 4th 1922.

No one knows our longing,
But few have seen us weep,
We shed our tears from aching heart, 
While others are asleep.

We often sit and wonder why,
Our precious daughter had to die,
Was it because we loved her so,
That God called her from this world.

Yet again we hope to meet thee,
When the days of life are fled,
And in heaven with Joys to greet thee,
Where no farewell tears are shed.
