Mr. Pulley, a native of Norfolk, Va., was retired from the Naval Operations Base after 20 years. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, an Army veteran, and also served in the National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Viola P. Pulley; three daughters, Judy Cason of Virginia Beach, Va., Cathy Moore of Toano, Va., and Karen Pulley of Chesapeake; four sons, James B. Myrick and Dean E. Pulley, both of Virginia Beach, Joseph M. Myrick of Chesapeake and Stephen A. Pulley of Hertford; two brothers, Gene A. Pulley of Chesapeake and Edwin T. Pulley of Hertford; and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Revs. Harley R. Bender and Kenneth Askew. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and also at 6128 Level Green Court in Virginia Beach.
